A whole world of people out there reading this blog … I was amazed to find that I had readers from 46! countries.
Forty-four now unfortunately, with readers from the Ukraine and Palestinian Territories falling from the list.
I thank you all for your interest! I know several of you have been reading my work for more than just this blog when we clubbed together with a U-turn from a previous platform, and landed on Google+.

I seem to be still in contact with my Ukrainian friend. She is still posting messages. I am hoping to send her another parcel. This time I thought I’d send a children’s book. Their postal system is more efficient than ours, despite the war. My last parcel was delivered safely, I could track it all the way, and I received about 92 likes on the main Ukrainian botanical webpage (forgotten its exact title).

Wonderful that Ukraine postal service is continuing, there must still be some areas not affected by the war. Most other countries look so much smaller than Australia that it’s hard to imagine that fighting in one quarter may not affect life in the rest of the country.
